69 was the first year I followed baseball. Living in Brooklyn, I was a die-hard Mets fan and what a first year it was. At the time the Yankees were a laughingstock. I was at the final playoff game when we swept the Braves. One thing I'll always remember about that time was the baseball establishment thought that the game would be ruined if players were allowed to have long hair and bushy sideburns. After all, it could only mean one thing: the Commies would take over the country!번역 보기

1964. I just started following baseball and the Phillies. My first heartbreak: Was in NYC when Bunning went perfect. Had heard or seen part of every Phillies game up until that Fathers Day.. Because I was visiting a friend and her family, I never got a chance to get to a radio or TV. Even drove by Mets stadium. Didn't find out until late that evening. Heartbreak #2: The Collapse. I was at the game that started it all. The first game of the losing streak. I still follow the team. In fact I'm watching the game right now. Thanks for reintroducing me to the some of the MLB stars whose names had become a distant memory.번역 보기

I was terrified to hear about 1964. As a Phillies fan, my dad said it was living in a walking nightmare. He already had world series tickets (philly had already printed them).번역 보기
