You need to get faraday bags and put small microwave in it. This is your second one for backup. Buy extra appliances at thrift stores and put in faraday cage in case electricity is restored. Wood will be limited. Store back bags of kindling-wood starter. Campground bags of wood. In survival stores they make small wood portable stoves.
