The fear isn't really AI. It's the freedom of information that comes with it. AI makes it easier for people to examine Islamic theology, compare competing religious claims, investigate contradictions, and scrutinize arguments for God's existence without relying solely on religious authorities to explain what they're allowed to question. The contingency and Kalam cosmological arguments don't establish that Allah exists simply because someone labels him the necessary being or ultimate cause. Those are conclusions that still need to be demonstrated, not definitions that magically prove themselves. Notice the concern that scientific discoveries might cause people to lose faith. If a belief is true, why should better information threaten it? You shouldn't need to continually adjust theology to accommodate every new discovery to keep God in the picture. The real test isn't whether theology can accommodate any possible scientific discovery. It's whether there's independently verifiable evidence that the specific God being claimed actually exists. AI makes it easier for ordinary people to investigate that question for themselves, and that's what religious authorities should be prepared to address.번역 보기
