After a couple years of purchasing the iFi Audio xDSD Gryphon I still own it, but felt like it was lacking in some dynamics with my Audeze LCD-XC and LCD-2 Closed-Back headphones, it was good for my Focal Celestee headphones and other sensitive dynamic driver headphones I own, but for the 2 planar headphones I own I felt like I needed more power so I gave up using that device on those headphones. I just purchased the iFi iDSD GR 2 and received it yesterday and it does power these 2 planar Audeze headphones I own very well with good dynamics, the music doesn't feel strained or lacking, very musical too with this DAC/amp. I am very happy to own this DAC/Amp for transportable use, for home desktop use I own a different DAC/Amp that is heavier and is plugged into wall power and can't be transported because of it's size, this is more put it in a pocket or bag and take with you on a walk.

Considering adding to my collection with the GR2, though if I did that I should probably sell the Gryphon. The GR2 looks very intriguing. I don't know what it sounds like but it looks much better than the Gryphon and the Gryphon is no slouch.
