She seems like a nice lady, given the benefit of the doubt that she has mites is about all you can give her. When you admit you have not taken care of an animal in the past normally then you would expect them to say "oh but I have changed and they are in a much better enclosure" but not with this lady. 👀 Like bro admitted her Iguana STILL is not being taken care of properly, if you can't give your pet a good life then you shouldn't have them.
