The basic MP salary is £98,000. 650 MPs. If they made a law to cut their salary down to 50k (still way above national average) the public coffers would have 31.2 million pounds more. And when extended over the 4 years of the life of a parliament, about 125 million pounds. In the grand scheme not a lot of money but shows sincerity instead of skinning the taxpayer every time the politicians get the economy in trouble.번역 보기
