Australia has an extremely high level of pet ownership. I would love to see similar adoption laws enacted here. We also have a ‘single issue’ animal party; the AJP, or Animal Justice Party, and they have achieved success beyond municipal level, having members of parliament at State level

I wish we had animal-protection laws as good as those in France here in the US.
