I can look at my own history and know that I did things that would have landed me in court, and then probably in jail (grass, back in the day). I knew plenty of guys who went through the criminal justice system, and they all agreed that it was designed to keep you in the system. I know that but for some luck I could have been down that road. I think about all the opportunities I had that would have never materialized had I become a convicted man. My life couldn't be what it is, but for the luck I had, and other people who helped me out. I am scrupulously lawful in every aspect. Had I been in prison, I'd say I had reformed from my wicked ways. But my ways weren't wicked, they were just the best choice I had at a time when I didn't think enough about the downsides of an idea. There were guys I met who never reformed, and guys who are just plain sociopaths. We will always have them. For the rest remember that poverty begets crime. Fix that and crime will go down.번역 보기
