I stumbled into the tiny bar/bandstand down the alley after work one Friday in search of $1 Little Kings. The Butthole Surfers were the band that night. I'd heard of them, but had no clue about them at all. Gibby painted green, wearing a bullet-bra and pajama pants, shouting into a megaphone, an ugly stripper, strobe lights, sexual reassignment surgery projected in reverse, Gibby stabbing himself in the nuts with [fake] blood running down his pajama pants, and, well, the music of BHS.
