I remember my first cat experience that made me realize I loved cats. It was the coldest winter we had in a while. Not super cold, but definitely uncomfortable to be outside. I came home from the pub and I walked from the bus stop home and I spotted a cat sitting on top of a car. He immediately got up and walked up to me. I stayed still and explained very drunk that he was free to follow me if he wanted to get out of the cold and he did. I just opened the door and offered for him to walk in and he did. He was a bit scared at first, but after I put down a little bowl with water for him he warmed up to me very quickly. I made him a bed out of a blanket but he ended up wanting to snuggle with me instead! Since he was well cared for enough that I trusted that he had an owner, I let him out the next morning. I let him in every night of that winter so he had a warm place to crash. I would walk to the same place where I first met him, and there he was! It got to the point where he'd spot me 100m away and come running! I occassionally gave him some food but that was it. After winter, he'd come by twice a week or so for a few months. Not knowing their owner, I bought a collar with a message and a phone number attached and I got 2 responses: from 2 other adresses this cat frequented asking me to let them know as well if/when I got in contact with the owner, which never happened. This all lead to a housemate spotting a message on facebook back then about the exact same cat saying "hey this is my cat, he loves people but please don't feed him or let him in! He knows the way home!" He apparently lived in the same neighbourhood, so I listened and while I pet and cuddled with him sometimes, I never let him in again.. he would frequently check on me though! He won me over with his cuddles and cuteness and I'll never forget that orange chaos missile! ❤번역 보기
