One thing I’ve always felt about Blade Runner is that both films leave you with the sense that there’s one important piece of the puzzle just out of reach. Not because every mystery needs to be explained, but because we never truly get to understand the society itself. We only experience it through a handful of extraordinary characters. My hope for Blade Runner 2099 isn’t that it answers every question. I hope it expands the world just enough to make it feel even more real while preserving the mystery, atmosphere, and philosophical depth that made the original films timeless.
