It’s just so fucking weird. If you watch Phil in his PRE-UFC wrestling career it is*painfully* clear that Punk is 2000% charisma, attitude, confidence, and serious mic skills. He can work a crowd and has the persona. He is approximately 2% athletic talent as is evidenced by his slowness, his lack of agility, and his almost comically bad finishing move ( I drop you and lift up my knee). Phil had some high risk stuff, etc… jumping off the ropes into the crowd… none of this flash equates to a single note of actual fighting skill, yet Phil somehow convinced himself he could compete with the best fighters in the world at his old age with zero experience.
