Gospodar's Tales is a Romanian game. The setting is very realistic to an average Romanian village - like even though the asset for the Jesus icon was reused in multiple houses, it is quite common to see the same 2 - 3 pictures hung up on everyone's walls. The first handsome guy in the picture you pointed out is the main character from one of the most popular Romanian books: Ion. He's a greedy asshole and abuser, not so fun. And the first cutscene with the guy getting hit in the back of the head with an axe is, coincidentally, the same way Ion dies in the book when his greed finally catches up to him (almost the same; he's killed with a hoe, not an axe). Also, the name of the game character's family is "Ioan", which is a derivative of "Ion". Also, he's framed in the background of "The Lucky Mill", which is another popular Romanian book, where everyone dies at the end. The second handsome guy you saw in a picture is Mihai Eminescu, considered to be Romania's national poet. And yeah, it is pretty common to find that specific portrait of his framed in your grandma's house. Other than those, the game is full of cultural references, which I think is pretty cool.번역 보기
