VT fan here. And staunch ACC advocate. I’ve always had this game circled on the schedule for us because at the end of the day it’s still Clemson and it’s still dabo and you guys still have great players. A few things to understand about the two losses that Virginia Tech has. VT went flat in the third quarter and allowed them to hang around. There were some huge communication issues in the secondary If you go back and watch, there was a huge blown coverage with led to a touchdown which put Pitt ahead. The other thing was penalties, but what you’re not mentioning is that the offense still went down and put us in position to win we just missed the field goal. With Cal while I was at the game I kept telling my wife the team just does not look like themselves. I found out this week leading up to the Georgia Tech game that VT had 18 1/2 hours of delays while traveling so instead of getting there on Thursday as anticipated, they didn’t get there until sometime on Friday afternoon to turn around and play the game on Saturday. Still not making an excuse for them. They still should’ve won the game, however to say that did not play a part is to minimize the effect of travel. As far as players you need to check out Cortez‘s Harris who also has five sacks and Kamari Copeland, who has four sacks followed by Elhadj Fall who has three sacks. This is the whole DL so I think you need to take a look at them linebackers play solid. The issue is with the secondary however, if the line is able to apply pressure or to get home the secondary is good enough to cover where they struggle is if the D line is not getting pressure and they have to cover for long periods of time to coverage breaks down. On offense Tech has actually had a good one to punch at running back so don’t minimize Marcellous Hawkins. We also have in addition to QBrown, we have Aiden Green, who is an excellent receiver. We have Davion Brown, who is another speedy excellent receiver and you forgot to mention Luke Reynolds who’s the number one tight end in the country and that’s not to mention Benji Gosnell and the other TE whose name is scapes me at the moment who are also good. So I agree with your analysis that it is VT strength versus Clemson strength however I feel where the difference in the game will be is our defense versus your offense and at the end of the day it all starts and ends with the driver and I think we have a better driver than you.번역 보기

To enlighten you since I'm sure you haven't had time to watch Virginia Tech's game films. Pitts offense didn't put up 35 points without a lot of help from turnovers and a shanked punt. VT moved the ball much better than Pitt. VT had 500 yards of offense and Pitt had 200 something I believe. One of Grunkmeyers interceptions was a very questionable call by the ACC zebra crew that resulted in Pitt having the ball around VT's 15 yard line. VT lost that game, Pitt didn't go get it necessarily but rather capitalized on VT's mistakes. Without the turnovers, VT beats Pitt probably something like 33-14. VT came out flat against Cal, didn't look like the same team. I don't think it was really what Cal was doing, but VT didn't look energized or to play with a lot of emotion. Whether it was from the emotional loss to Pitt, or from the travel complications they had with a mechanical issue on the plane they were taking across the country, VT is two plays away from being 7-0. Both of the losses had some very contraversial calls from the ACC crew not go VT's way as well. Other than that, I think this will be a very close game. VT's Offense vs Clemson's tough Defense. Probably a game that comes down to the final drive. Players you didn't mention to watch would be the tight end Luke Reynolds. Yall saw him in the bowl game, but he will probably win the Mackey Award. As well as Ayden Green, he doesn't have as many yards as Brown or Reynolds. But the highest average per reception, when you need a big third down play. He's the guy a lot of times.번역 보기
