What scaremongering. I have fasted twice in my life: for 42 days in 2001 and for 75 days in 2023, both times in India. The first time I lost 10 kg; the second, 22 kg. Neither fast felt particularly difficult to me. I drank purified water, took minerals and vitamins, and stayed active with daily exercise or long walks. After about a week, I no longer felt hungry. The funny thing was that I kept my strength. As my weight dropped, moving became easier. I felt stronger every day and started taking the stairs two steps at a time instead of one. After two months without food, I was still riding my scooter with a friend on the back. He filmed part of the trip. We were laughing and joking. I certainly did not feel as though I was about to collapse. Our bodies store fat as an energy reserve. Mine finally had a chance to put that reserve to use. That is why warnings that seem to suggest we fall apart after three days without food strike me as ridiculous. My own experience was very different. Of course, my experience does not mean that such a long fast is safe for everyone, or that vitamins and minerals remove all the risks. But personal accounts belong in the discussion too. Read what people whohave actually fasted have to say, alongside the medical research. I wish all of you in U.K. a healthy BMI번역 보기
