What makes so many Batman villains so compelling is that they're tragic characters. They're just regular people who got screwed over by the system, crime, or just had a terrible lot in life. Mr. Freeze just wanted to save his wife. Two-Face wanted to stop corruption in Gotham and take down the mob. Poison Ivy wants to stop the destruction of the ecosystem and save endangered plants. The key to a great Batman villain origin is to make you sympathize with them, understand their motivations, and even root for them, but turn them into villains by having them take it too far.번역 보기

DC has the best villains in all of comics, and Batman's villains in particular really work well as straight up horror villains that work outside of comics.번역 보기
