Back in 1981 I was 16 and had a job at a safari park in Jackson NJ. I was a gate guard and there was one ostrich that would routinely challenge me at my gate. He never tried to get out. He just liked to taunt me. This was a daily thing for 2 years. After I left the job, I went to the same gate as a visitor the following year and the staff new me and let me hang out at my old gate. The ostrich saw me and came running in full speed. Stopped right in front of me and let me pet him for five minutes straight. He never did that for anyone else.
