I did not notice earlier that Ram's dad is Arun Govil, who played the character of Raam in the legendary TV series of Ramayana in 1990s which is still widely watched and people still recognise and respect him for that role. As it was a TV series so a lot of generations grew up watching him as Ram in a detailed act than a movie. He carried such an amazing smile and aura for the role. Amrish Puri's voice over in that really put it to another level. if you want to appreciate the movie more then research a bit before watching. Maybe watch a few versions of Ramayana. There are some beautiful life learnings out of this saga. How Lord Ram accepts his destiny as he had done nothing wrong to deserve an exile. Often we get angry and frustrated when things do not work out for no reason but he accepted it as the right thing to do, to set an example.
