As an old head I absolutely agree that this generation of MLB baseball is harder to play. When I was a whippersnapper, a pitcher could throw 88 mph fastball a 60mph change up, and with good location he could dominate. In that same era of fire-baller was a guy that threw 95 mph. No kick changes or turbo sweepers, and 100mph pitches were unicorn rare. And the game was even easier for the pitchers because the strike zone they had was enormous. Umpires would sometimes give them two or three inches off the plate, and below the zone over the plate. Plus all the best pitchers in the league of that era had an even wider strike zone than a normal pitcher. If those guys back then had the ABS system, history would be completely different I promise you😂.
