Hi Ruby, my start in life didnโ€™t include a mother or father or grandparents, when I got to four or five years young both parents were liking the taste of beer and my mother always went missing for 4 days out of a week, the local police would find her in a pub in a local town. My dad did have a job so he would just drink on weekends. I had no one to teach me , I didnโ€™t find this out straight away. My brother, sister and I would be locked in the house while dad went to work when we were just toddlers but a kind older lady used to pass us jam sandwich each through the letter box, I think in America you would call these jelly and peanut, we didnโ€™t have peanut butter/ spread. When I was a young woman I told myself my children will never have a mother who went missing half of the week, I would love them with all my heart. Fortunately when I was at school, girls learned how to cook while boys did carpentry or metal work. The 1st thing I ever learn in a cookery lesson was how to change an electric plug. I tought myself how to make filling appetising comfort foods. I would fill my freezer with home cooked from scratch steak n kidney casserole, vegetable soup, etc and I loved every day with my 3 boys. I couldnโ€™t stand the smell of alcohol, I never smoked I wanted to be the best I could be. I was a stay at home mom/ mam because I wanted my children to know I would always be there for them. Not only are you teaching me some new recipes you are entertaining me too, I get so much happiness listening to you. I am sorry you were left on your own but you are doing amazing and you are worth the effort โค๋ฒˆ์—ญ ๋ณด๊ธฐ
