I am an Igbo man and I also know that Mr Opeyemi was an agent provocatoire or a rabble rouser when he made that statement. He should know that Igbo food collection was as old as Igbo society. However as a lover of truth I would like to correct a misunderstanding which most of my brothers and sisters are displaying in their response to Mr Opeyemi's statement. Mr Opeyemi said the Igbo cuisines were created or invented after the first world war. He never said after the Nigerian/ Biafran civil war. Even at that I maintain that Igbo cuisines are as old as the Igbo people but like any other human society or human activity it cannot be static and therefore it will continue to evolve. Many Yoruba have added most Igbo cuisines to their menu so don't be surprised that in a hundred years from now the Yorubas of that time in the usual Yoruba way will be telling the world how Igbos copied those cuisines from them.번역 보기
