seeing him with those bloody, torn-off wings sets such a heavy vibe. it feels like watching someone who used to have it all together get totally stripped of their strength, now left with the literal scars of trying to survive… when his hands are tied up at first, it’s so symbolic of feeling stuck but the detail that really hits is when the ties vanish later and he still stays slumped over. its like even when the outside problem goes away, the mental exhaustion keeps you trapped the girl sitting in the shadows with the harsh sunbeam running across her eye like a visual blindfold is a genius touch!
