English people? I gotchu with all you're missing from this video: The woman drinking at the bar at the very end is Yūko Natsuyoshi (夏吉ゆうこ), the voice actress for Yani Neko / Satō Yaniko in the anime. The live-action Yani Neko is Akanezachi Chiko (赤猫座ちこ), who has also appeared as the official Yani Neko cosplayer. Kaiji is played by Kōdai Itō (伊藤こう大) from the comedy duo Korya Medetēna. He’s known for doing a Kaiji impersonation. The landlord is Tetsu Inada (稲田徹), who is also the landlord’s actual voice actor in the anime. Some of the other beastfolk/cat girls include Miyabi Hirata (平田みやび) and Anzu Nekozuki (猫好杏) of IQ99. The published cast also includes Nanako Matsuba and Kotomi Amai, although I couldn’t find a definitive character-by-character mapping for all of them. The Kaiji cameo seems random at first, but it’s actually a callback to Wasureranneyo’s history. Wasureranneyo’s 2011 major-label debut song, “C kara Hajimaru ABC,” was the ending theme for Kaiji: Against All Rules / Hakairoku-hen*.* That’s why the MV goes further than just having someone dressed as Kaiji: the underground setting itself is modeled after Kaiji’s underground labor camp. The crossover also works thematically. The official promotion basically frames it as a “co-starring of losers/scumbags”: Kaiji and Yani Neko are both full of broke, dysfunctional characters making terrible decisions. So the MV is basically connecting Wasureranneyo’s first major anime tie-in, Kaiji, with their newest one, Yani Neko, around 15 years later.번역 보기
