That 50/50 split on AI shifting professional identity is such a stark number, didn't expect it to be that even.

Lead Data Analyst. This was a great episode. The burnout is real, just days and days of checking through AI output either created by myself or people around the business. Occasionally I do feel empowered but too often I'm looking at broken outputs. Analysts are worried, not because AI can do their job better but those around us who make the decision think they can, ignoring the context and detail they put in to make their work valuable. Some consultant companies have been in news already about AI generated reports, but no one seems to care now, everything is just quantity and velocity. I don't think we'll stop hearing about news like these.

Senior PM. So much in this episode resonated with me. From good/bad management, to how management and ICs experience AI definitely, to how the feelings and experiences are conflicting. I feel very squeezed, like my “normal work” is considered to be somehow just magically done, and I suppose to have a lot of free time. So management finds more and more ways to fill up that free time. But in reality, in order to achieve same quality, I need to work about the same if not more time, because I have more content to deal with. And AI is really bad about qualitative judgement. But AI did liberate me in terms of quantitative analysis. So, I have so much more data now…. I also found that management often times gets inspired by numbers, instead of looking out for a strategy that comes out of those numbers. I don’t know if it’s just us, but an annual roadmap feels like a dream. Company level strategy is changed every quarter, no clear view of the future. It’s hard to plan for your product in such circumstances.
