There is no way I wouldn't stay with my beloved kitties when it was time to say goodbye. I would never leave them in a scary, unfamiliar environment at a time like that. When I had to put my little tortie down, I stayed with her until the end. I cried like a baby, but at least I didn't abandon her.번역 보기

They surrendered the cat. Habeas corpus-- possession is 9/10th of the law. But the family had to have signed paperwork relinquishing rights to the animal. They didn't want the body back, or the ashes. The veterinarian owned the cat at that point. If you surrender your animal to a shelter, you'll often be asked or required to pay to do it. Staff saw a will to live, and honored it. The fact that the cat did live another 18 months says she had the will to live. Cats shut down when they lose the will to live. She ended her life knowing she was living with people who loved her and made her feel better. There are meds for those conditions she had. I would take my cats to that vet -- they have good judgment about an animal's will to live.번역 보기
