The most amazing fact about Shree Ram is in the 3rd paragraph, so don't miss that. The Ramayana is the story of the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, and a major chapter of it is the battle with Ravana after he abducts Mother Sita out of his ego, revenge, and lust. And talking of Ravana, he was from a demon lineage of Sage Kashyapa (he is often called the universal progenitor, having given birth to the Adityas, Rudras, Vasus, Daityas, Maruts, Danavas, Nāgas, Gandharvas, Garuda, Apsaras, and many others through his 14 wives). Indeed, Ravana was intelligent and powerful, but he was always driven by greed, lust, and ego. He is also considered one of the greatest devotees of Lord Shiva, and after his intense austerities dedicated to Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva, he attained the immense power for which he is always remembered. However, he never liked Lord Vishnu and always wanted to become a god for humans, and that led him to commit countless evil deeds, including forcefully taking what belonged to others. Ramayana is indeed the story of Shree Ram, but there is so much to talk about, so many different battles he fought against different kinds of species, prominently from the realms of Earth, Heaven, and Hell, that it cannot be covered in just a couple of movies. However, the highlight of the Ramayana is associated with the fall of Ravana. But why? According to the lore, there were two guards of Lord Vishnu, Jaya and Vijaya, in his divine realm. Due to the curse of the great sage children (the Four Kumaras), they were destined to spend their lives in the mortal realm as demons. However, Lord Vishnu reduced the curse to only three lifetimes for both of them. The 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu was destined to kill Jaya (Ravana) and Kumbhakarna (Vijaya), the giant shown at the end of the trailer at @5:26 . Lord Vishnu had already taken his 3rd and 4th incarnations to defeat Jaya and Vijaya during the first cycle of the curse, and his 8th incarnation was meant to end their 3rd and final cycle while also establishing Dharma one last time before the beginning of Kaliyuga. Now here comes the big question. If Ram is God, why did he face so much suffering, and why did his wife, who is an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi (Shree Lakshmi and Shree Vishnu are one and are eternally meant for each other, so in every incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi also incarnates herself), have to endure so much pain? How was a demon king able to cause so much trouble to these divine forces, in fact, to the very beings who stand at the highest level of the cosmic order? It is because Ravana had a boon according to which only humans could kill him. Therefore, Shree Ram and Mata Sita had to live their lives as mere human beings. Now the next question is, couldn't Lord Vishnu simply ignore the boon and end Ravana's existence long before he began committing all those atrocities? But that is not his code of conduct.
