"Chhalray Chhalray" is a famous song from the past, penned by Saleem Bismil, a talented lyricist from Mianwali. It was originally sung by Gul Tari Khelvi and later performed by numerous other artists, including Muhammad Hussain Bandiyal and Shafaullah Rokhri. In a recent interview, Aon Bandiyalvi claimed that his father—Muhammad Hussain Bandiyal—was the first to sing it; this statement is entirely incorrect, as the young man is evidently unaware of Mianwali's musical history. Shafaullah Rokhri performed many songs originally sung by Gul Tari Khelvi; whenever objections were raised, he would silence the poets by paying them off—instances of this include songs by Mujtaba Nasir and Akhtar Majaz. Additionally, two other songs by Saleem Bismil went viral: "Rang Di Sanwli" and "Ratta Dulara Yaar Da." The late Zahid Ali Khan originally sang "Rang Di Sanwli," while "Ratta Dulara" was first sung by Gul before becoming popular across the country. Recently, an Indian female singer performed this song, and it has gone viral. Clarifying the history of this song is essential to ensure the poet receives due credit and the truth is brought to light.번역 보기
