I remember the 1982 Brewers very very VERY VERY WELL. My Dad got me really into ⚾️Baseball⚾️ in the 1977 season. But from 1978-1982 we went to well over 100+ games. I spent so many memorable days and nights at Milwaukee County Stadium, and I loved every single one of them! I have some really great memories. In 1978 Mike Caldwell just missed out on winning the Cy-Young Award. Losing to Ron Guidry with his 25-3 record and a 1.74 ERA. He was too much, but Mike Caldwell had a great season himself. On the last Home Game of the 78 Season my Parents allowed me to stay after the game ended to get autographs. Back then the Brewers parking lot wasn't fenced off or blocked in any way. I'm not sure how they do it now at Miller, oops American Family Field, but back then it was really fun to hang out after the game ended. From 1978-1982 I met almost every single Brewers player from those years. Sorry back to the last Home game of the 78 season. I was sitting off by the Brewers Main Office door. Next to that to the left were entrances for the games. Now I'm not 100% sure but if I remember correctly the Brewers office was behind Home Plate, off to the left a bit. There were again turnstiles to get into the Stadium next to it. Well down towards the very end of that I saw a couple of Brewers players come out. I don't remember exactly who they were but I do remember I had their autographs already or they weren't players I wanted, so I waited. While all of the other kids ran towards those two players I saw another Brewers player come out by the office door. It was Mike Caldwell! I was a left-handed wannabe pitcher so Mike Caldwell was my favorite player. I immediately jumped up and ran towards him. I was about to yell when I saw him give me the 🤫🤫Shush🤫Symbol🤫🤫 Shhh! So I kept quiet. He said that he was in a hurry to get home. The Brewers had a Road Series next up and the team's plane was scheduled to leave later that night and again he wanted to spend some time with his family. I told him I understood completely. Normally Mike Caldwell was always willing to sign autographs for us kids. He tossed his dufflebag into the trunk of his car. He then signed my Yearbook, and he thanked me. He stopped mid sentence and he then reached back into the trunk of his car, into the Dufflebag. He pulled out a Special item. His game worn Brewers Home team 🧢Cap🧢, and he said, "Thanks a lot kid.", and he put the cap on my head. Well he tried to, my head was too big! UGH! But it fit it was just tight. This was the most amazing, unbelievable, incredible wonderful, special, and iconic moment in my life! I shook his hand and he said, "Bring it back next season and he said he'd sign it for me. Which I did do and he did sign it. Ironically enough the season following that incredible season he started out rough and when he signed it he Joked maybe I should this one back and swap you for this season's cap. I told him sure, if he wanted to. But he said he was just joking. I was so lucky, no I had the HONOR and PRIVILEGE of meeting some of the best Players we ever had. But one person I will never ever forget was Mr. Bob Uecker! He is and will always be a legendary player, announcer, broadcaster, actor(Mr.Belvedere), and Harry Doyle in Major League one and two. He may have been famous, but he was always a very nice guy, always willing to spend extra time signing autographs for the Brewers fans and even tell a story or two. These were the best times of my life!!번역 보기
