I’m Irish and I dont follow US media but I was curious to see how the visit was being portrayed over there, so I checked out a few american news channels. Let me just say the claim made by that lady that mohamad is the #1 baby name in Ireland is an absolute LIE. I’m quite shocked that a supposed reporter for what I assume is one of the biggest news channels in America could blatantly lie like that live on air. Mohamad ranked as the 35th most popular name in Ireland in 2025 with only 139 babies being named that. The other 99 names im the top 100 were Irish names. A quick google search of Irelands central statistics office would tell you that. While immigration has gotten out of control in Dublin, fortunately it stays contained there and the reality is very different across the rest of Ireland. Other cities including Galway and Ireland’s second largest city Cork, have not experienced anything remotely comparable to what you see in parts of Dublin and remain unaffected. If you’re going to report on Ireland to millions of Americans then at the very least, get the basic facts about my country right. Amadáns.번역 보기
