Gen z have it hard in many ways but the way Rosie laughs at her grandmother saying they didn't have washing machines when she was young shows just how much people now (not just gen z) take automation for granted. A washing machine is not a trivial thing. That is hours and hours of weekly labour that women were liberated from. There's a big difference between thinking young people have it easy because they have fancy iphones (obviously silly) and pointing out that life is far more comfortable and requires far less of certain sorts of labour and drudgery now than it did for older generations. My grandparents didn't have indoor plumbing or hot water or electricity in their youth. Even leaving aside the war, their life was far from easy.번역 보기

I am in my late 60's. Sure, life wasn't always easy; but, there is no question that Gen Z has huge obstacles to negotiate. We owe it to this, and subsequent, section(s) of our society to give much more attention and policy-shift to address their need for hope and decent opportunities.
