This game confused me too so I tried to do some research on it (cuz i have too much free time) > what's this game about? :: Wet Candy is a psychological horror game about the inescapable weight of war crimes and karmic retribution. :: the game is a literal representation of "the sins of the father." The ghost of the murdered child sought revenge against the soldier. This is the whole story of the game (as much as I've understood) >SCENE 1 (Family and pool) :: We see a little happy family; Linda is the little girl, there are her parents. Linda was sitting near the pool. She was talking to a ghostly entity of a young girl. The ghost tells linda that she hid some candy in the pool and asks linda to find them. >SCENE 2 (Linda dives into the pool) :: Linda jumps in to grab the first lollipop. As soon as she drops it off at a designated pile, the pool unnaturally shifts. The water gets dark, and the bottom of the pool vanishes into an endless, deep trench. :: Linda dives down again following green directional markers. This time, the domestic pool is completely gone. She is swimming through a massive, murky oceanic abyss. Warships loom overhead, and bodies begin floating in the water. Each time she tries to swim up to resurface, the world flips upside down. :: The final dive plunges Linda into a murky river cutting right through a dense 1970s jungle. She swims past submerged jungle structures until she reaches a bank. >SCENE 3 (Linda in the jungle) :: Linda surfaces in the jungle and enters a small hut. There, she witnesses a terrifying memory—a crying civilian couple is cornered by an armed soldier. The soldier brutally executes the parents, takes their young daughter, stuffs her into a heavy burlap sack, and throws her into the water to drown. (The young daughter is the ghost in the pool, btw) :: The soldier turns around. Linda looks closely at his face and realizes the killer is her own father from his days fighting in the war. :: The timeline collapses. The father—now completely possessed by his past "soldier monster" persona—turns his aggression directly onto Linda. He treats his own daughter exactly like his past victim: he forcefully stuffs Linda into a burlap sack and ties it shut. >THE FINAL SCENE :: The mom and dad are staring in absolute horror at the water. Floating right in the center of the family pool is a heavy, soaked burlap sack. :: The ghost child successfully forced the father to relive his horrific war crime, driving him to commit the exact same act of evil on his own beloved daughter as karmic retribution.
