Interesting comparisons. Though buying in bulk from Costco reminds me of the Terry Pratchett "Boots Theory." The theory goes, a poor man can buy a pair of boots that will last a year for £5. A rich man can buy boots for £15, but they will last him 10 years. So only the rich can afford to save money & that keeps them rich. But you have to have the initial capital to outlay on the boots. When I had the big farmhouse, with loads of storage, I could store massive packs of loo rolls, kitchen rolls. I also had three freezers, so buying massive building blocks of cheese was fine - cut it into sections & freeze. I also bought a whole slaughtered sheep a year. Split the cost with a friend & I butchered it. But I had the space, skills & a good income which meant doing this & more saved me a lot of money.번역 보기
