i hate the logic that “you signed up for it” “it’s the price of fame”, we’re normalizing literal harassment, and it was so frustrating for us peruvian army bc we even went to the NEWS to tell people to respect their privacy and locals started criticizing us, being misogynistic to us and xenophobic to bts, and saying they will go to the hotel just to spite us and “those chinese guys”. so at the end of the day actual army were home and casual fans and locals were bothering them at the hotel. we don’t gotta tell artists to suck it up we gotta start normalizing treating artists like human beings.번역 보기

Wth, harassment is not part of the contract for anyone. He has the mindset of those fans, media, and local. Is it a Latin culture thing? Even the US has a curfew, and it illegal to make noise all night. His kind mindset really excuses bad behavior and think celebrities don't deserve their personal time. That guy needs to experience insomnia to understand what lack of sleep would do to his mind or do some research to see why sleep is important.번역 보기

I think what Efra is having a hard time understanding is that EVEN IF something is expected and common, it's still not okay and people SHOULD BE shamed and called out for it. Because if you DON'T, this will continue to happen and that's what ARMYs do not want. ARMYs are tryna break the cycle of toxic fandom behaviour for years now. We don't wanna normalize what other big fandoms have normalized. Like, invasion of privacy in ANY way. Yes, not just football fans Efra but like, big ass fandoms like 1D and JB fans were actually known for this kinda stuff back then. We don't wanna be known by that. And also, did you know, fans doing shit like this would be considered a good thing back then? And like, it was something to brag about. Which is crazy to me. Also, we all know BTS has gone through WAYYY worse than this. Jungkook literally has had house intruders. So what was different this time you ask? I personally believe this time it was not just them who were getting affected. Their entire staff and the other people staying in the hotel were too and that, must've been extremely frustrating for them. So yeah, "You signed up for it" typa mentality just further normalizes and low-key encourages this problematic behaviour and we as a fandom don't wanna do that.
