It's kinda crazy to also know that Japan hates letting foreigners adopt any animals even if they live there and have for years because they're "worried the foreigners will leave back to their original country and abandon the animal"번역 보기

I had a friend who lived in Japan for 9yrs, and she ended up being a sort of animal rescuer because she would take any animal that needed help. She said it wasn’t unusual for people to just set small animals free, like hamsters, Guinea pigs, and chinchillas loose in the street or in the woods. Leaving your cats behind when you move, releasing birds, or straight up euthanizing animals that weren’t wanted was common she said. She said people found her very odd for being so specific about animal care. She said many of the older people laughed when she told them about the standard of care given to animals in the USA and they thought I was ‘too much’ and ‘pampering’. Giving an animal its most basic needs is not ‘pampering’.번역 보기
