Think about it. Just a few days ago, we were seeing news about our dams slowly drying up and water levels becoming dangerously low. Then, just days later, we were blessed with rain that helped replenish our dams and bring them back to full capacity. What a blessing. I know that for some people, especially those affected by the flooding, this rain doesn't feel like a blessing at all. And I completely understand that. But the rain itself isn't the problem. In fact, our country desperately needs it. The real problem is that we still don't have the proper flood control and drainage systems that our country should have by now. If the money meant for these projects were properly used and corruption wasn't eating away at our resources, flooding wouldn't have to be such a devastating problem every time heavy rain comes. We shouldn't have to choose between having enough water and being safe from floods. Both are possible. Our country has the resources and the potential. What we need is proper planning, honest leadership, and infrastructure that actually works for the people. So yes, the rain is a blessing. Let's just hope that one day, our government will be prepared enough to make sure that the same blessing doesn't become a disaster for others.번역 보기
