i watched some humane Hancock video and I am convinced that even wild life suffering is wrong even if predators are not moral agents. I used to watch wildlife docs on natgeo, discovery channels, ofc there were some cruel scenes but i used to tell myself if they predator didn't do it, they would die, it's like a sad state of things that we can't change but now i feel it was kinda sadistic to watch, to watch animals suffering, surviving through harsh nature conditions as i was eating my lunch for entertainment purposes. Taking another crack at formulating my confusing question from the last video. Basically, I'm trying to understand how you determine whether or not a given action is vegan. I've seen two types of reasoning behind this: 1. The consideration of the demand threshold which you also explained in this video. A given action increases your probability of contributing to a large number of rights violations, with the cumulative probability becoming very large across a lifetime of purchases. 2. The consideration of the amount of money given to animal industries. I've seen this consideration pop up when evaluating the empirics of purchasing organic products as well as when determining whether purchasing a course of medication containing animal products can be considered vegan. It's not clear to me how one determines in general whether a given action is vegan, and I'd find a systematic discussion of this useful. In particular, I'd hope for it to clear up the following. The connection between the cumulative probability associated with a lifetime's worth of a given action and the determination of whether a single instance of an action is vegan is not clear to me. The connection between the amount of money transacted and the probability of triggering rights violations is also not clear to me.번역 보기
