hot take: ilia is still the nightmare matchup for gaethje. the fight we saw at the white house was the absolute worst case scenario for ilia. he should beat gaethje 9/10 times, but him losing was the 1/10. ilia's gameplan was genuinely horrendous and literally the worst thing he could've done, as he decided to brawl with a brawler, yet was still almost able to win, but then made a stupid mistake that he wouldn't normally make (tried to submit gaethje after hitting a KO level bodyshot). if he fought the way he fought against gaethje again if they rematch, i still think the fight would be still slightly favorable towards topuria, that's how skilled he is. people wont agree with me because mma fans tend to have a 1 fight memory, but watch what ilia did against charles, max, and volk. if he fights like that, he'll win the fight 9/10 times.번역 보기
