Among my favorite movies, the ones that rank at the very top are Insidious 1 and 2. The reason is that they were so unique. The whole concept of astral projection, where you can actually go into another world and encounter ghosts and all these other things, was just so amazing that I can’t even explain it. And that’s exactly what I loved about them—you could even do something with time in that world. In a way, you could even time-travel. But after that, with every movie that was released, I wouldn’t say they were absolutely terrible or anything, but the quality just kept declining. I think this new concept they’ve introduced now—where you can actually bring someone back from the dead—is probably one of the worst concepts they could have come up with. You know, there are some movies where you actually think, ‘I wish they had never made a Part 2,’ or ‘I wish Part 3 had never happened,’ because once those sequels come out, the quality gets worse, and eventually the entire franchise gets ruined. That’s exactly how I feel about Insidious. The more new movies they make, and the more they continue this franchise, the worse its quality is going to become. And in the end, they’ll probably have to shut down the franchise completely—which is especially disappointing because it was one of my absolute favorites...번역 보기
