Instead of getting overwhelmed and feeling helpless, I decided to take control by taking steps to launch a website and blog dedicated to local politics in my area. It’s going to be a centralized location of what various city councils, school boards and the county board of supervisors are doing, who is on these bodies, how they voted, information about candidates for upcoming elections, and so on. I want to make it as easy as possible for people who want to to stay informed about what’s going on locally and to be more informed voters.
