So uhh basically in this universe = BACKROOMS: a place that traps you when you feel mentally lost and confused and the twist and turns and the maze-like design is about YOUR struggle of mind (it's designed to make you lost because you ARE lost in the mind) the main office rooms are basic mental/psychological loss of direction (as in you don't know what to do and feel like what you're doing feels like nothing meaning unsure of your decision like a true office because to others Offices are places that makes you confused most of the time) Playrooms (in my opinion, it's about struggles that seem silly to others but to you it's serious like for that larry clone, they got stuck there because he's doing something he doesn't even know why he's doing it so the backrooms is symbolising it as "childish" hence the Playrooms) Poolrooms (the deep part of the mind, fragile, prone to slip/make a mistake but it's also the way out meaning realizing what you're missing and finally finding out why you're lost in the first place and you've come to accept that) The monsters? Your inner thoughts that made you lost in the first place so to you they're hostile because your inner thoughts ARE hostile (Thanks for reading!!
