Warum hasst der Baseball die Yankees?

I grew up with Pat Murphy. Used to watch him play ball in our hometown, Syracuse, New York (village of Eastwood) during our early teen years.번역 보기

Put it this way, it is a compliment to the Yankees that they are in their heads a few minutes after they just won the World Series. I don’t recall the Jeter or Mariano bringing up the Brewers when they won.번역 보기

Michael, I think you’re missing the last part of Pat Murphy’s statement: “Just remember, this is how WE do it.” And I get exactly what he means. He’s not talking about 2023; he’s talking about the Yankees’ lack of hustle, discipline, and accountability. When Austin finally gets a hit, puts his head down, ignores Rojas’s sign, and makes the last out at third base, that’s an example of a guy playing for himself instead of the team. When Jazz says he’d make that same idiotic play again, even though there was no chance of getting the runner, that’s another example of putting himself above the team. The Yankees too often refuse to work the count and make pitchers earn their outs. Instead, they’re constantly swinging for the fences and striking out. It’s about situational hitting, discipline, and doing the little things that help you win games. I’m a Yankees fan, and I completely understand what Pat Murphy meant. He’s talking about a different standard of baseball, one built on hustle, accountability, and playing for the TEAM. And honestly, that’s something this Yankees team desperately needs. 💯번역 보기
