When I was a little boy growing up in Luxembourg, that tiny little country in the heart of Europe, I watched 9 to 5 and was completely mesmerised by Dolly. Somehow, she stayed with me. Not just through her music, but through the woman she chose to be — warm, fearless, unapologetic and endlessly generous. She didn’t just sing about being whoever you wanted to be. She lived it. She showed it. She walked her talk. And perhaps that is why she touched so many of us: she never asked permission to become the woman she wanted to become, and she never stopped reminding the rest of us that we could do the same. Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the laughter, the courage — and most of all, for that lesson. You taught us that we are allowed to become whoever we want to be. Rest peacefully. 🤍번역 보기
