To be brutally honest I really don't care what you call your animals but I will answer the question for the sake of you understanding a different perspective. For one when you do that it confuses people about whether or not you're talking about an actual person or not. Then you have to constantly clarify. For two and much more importantly it seems dehumanizing to adopted children. As an adopted kid that's now an adult we already have a lot to go through we don't need to be put on the same level as animals on top of it. That animal is not your biological child you did not go through pregnancy with it. You didn't spend hours pushing it out of you or have them cut out of you like what I had to go through twice. My adoptive mother treated her dogs like they were her real children that she loved more than me. She also treated her biological children that way as well but at least that was expected. Just because you see something as your child doesn't mean that it actually is. At the end of the day one person's carefree comment is another person's insult or trauma trigger. We need to remember that not every child that gets adopted actually has a happy ending and it's sad that some animals have better lives and more love than a child could ever hope to wish for. Also I'm not implying that animals don't deserve love. I'm saying we shouldn't be dehumanizing people for the sake of it.번역 보기
