History of this song--once a man used to live near bank of Chenab river. His wife died while giving birth of a son , who was named CHALLA. HE was raised alone on the bank of river by his father , and both father and son used to earn by transporting people ( traveller ) from one bank to the other bank of Chenab. CHALLA was very respectful to women as he never saw his mother. one day a family came and their daughter was going to marry on the other side of river. but that particular day river had high currents ( waves )so the father of CHALLA refused to go, but family insisted , ( jana pehly pur ve ) so CHALLA insisted also to his father that i will go because of women. So father and son had a fight and CHALLA went to river with family and drowned and never returned , his father searched fo 10 years, and sang this song and died there on bank where their boat rest.번역 보기
