When 90s Batman Predicted Modern Politics

I remember an episode of the 60s series where the Penguin runs for Mayor, and Batman naïvely declares “The American people would never vote a known criminal into office.” 😄😭번역 보기

Good Lord! Does this one take me back... My father never took comic books seriously, God rest his soul. But I clearly remember him slapping this specific issue into my lap. "Read it." It was a friendly command. I did so immediately. "Who got John's father killed?" "The war?" "Who started the war?" "I dunno." "Thnk about it." "'Kay." "Did hating people help John? Did it fix things? Make 'em better?" "No." "Did prison fix John?" "No." "Did the government, or the military, or the CIA help John?" "No." "Whose fault is it?" "John's fault." "And who failed John?" THAT shit? Hit me like a truck. Genuinely felt afraid for a bit while. Dad loved books, Sci-fi especially. He was into Philip K. Dick and Harlan Ellison. Quote from Ellison was his favorite thing in the entire world: "Don't be dumb. Be smart. If you're dumb, you're a tool. If you're a tool? Imma USE you. Don't be dumb, be smart".번역 보기
