I am old enough to remember the time of terrorism ( living in Ludhiana at that time). How there was shooting outside our school while extra classes were being held inside in evening. I was not there ,but my mother was one of the teachers inside. How two students( brothers) of her class ( 10 -11 years old) saw there parents gunned down while traveling by train . They survived because they his below the berth. How many times my school sent all the students to school grounds and the security forces searched for bomb inside the campus ( threat on phone). How our uniforms were changed from skirts to Punjabi suits because of threat by terrorist. I also remember hearing from my elders about the high handedness of KPS Gill. How he was called a demon in police uniform. I even remember him being accused of sexual assault of a lady IAS officer. I have spent most of my life in Punjab even though my Father basically comes from Haryana. I teach in a government school in rural area of Punjab, I am in constant contact with the new generation teenage boys of Punjab....and my conclusion is that Punjab and Punjabi's have been taken advantage of. Punjab has contributed more than it has received. The politicians of Punjab are basically selfish and no one actually cares for the people of Punjab. Problem is that people of Punjab can't be controlled fully by any one in power. So they try to repress them ...which after a few years somehow leads to rebellion against the establishment.번역 보기
