You're likely confusing 'liberal' with US liberal, which is a completely different beast of its own. Liberal in this case means classical liberalism, or even libertarianism (even though that part has long since abandoned most of those principles).번역 보기

Sweden Democrats (SD) were founded in 1988 from the racist anti-immigration group Bevara Sverige Svenskt. Many early leaders had neo-Nazi or fascist ties (including a former Waffen-SS volunteer). From the mid-1990s the party expelled extremists and shifted to mainstream nationalism. The name “Democrats” just signals support for democracy — common across European parties (Christian Democrats, Social Democrats etc.). It has nothing to do with the left-wing US Democratic Party.번역 보기
