Son came in and said there's a lost dog out here. I opened the front door and my best-friend-to-be walked in like he belonged here. I led him back out to my bench to check on my tablet what to do. It was Friday afternoon. He was so sweet and charming I planned on keeping him with us instead of the dog pound. I did all the notifying but his family never called. They had dumped him. 30 days later he was officially mine and licensed, vaccinated and chipped. Found out he was just a baby. I cried. It meant more time with him. He was my trusty sidekick for 12 yrs. Still blown away by how smart he was. Intuitive. He decided his job was to take care of me and he did it so well.
