I was a sea cadet from B.C. HMCS Quadra. I learned how to use a rifle properly at the age of 13, you know, how to clean the weapon , proper handling of said weapon, using paper targets for practice on a real range, never point it at a person or yourself. We also learned useful things like knots, signal codes, survival training. We learned about discipline, honour and integrity.
