I am on the ground in Kathmandu right now, and the airspace is incredibly heavy with the sound of choppers flying non-stop relief and rescue missions. It is a devastating reminder of how massive this tragedy is.Having lost my best friend to brain cancer this past January, I learned firsthand how fragile life is. Seeing this disaster unfold around me is another powerful, heartbreaking reminder of how fleeting our time can be.The people of Nepal are incredibly resilient and beautiful, as are those in Tibet. As a person living near Himalyas I suggest every tourist whether they're from any country, never go for a trip to Himalyan areas during monsoon season. The Himalayas have become unstable since last decade and it worsens every year......unpredicatable cloudbursts causing landslides and flash floods have become common every year during monsoon.
